parameters & plans
When i was in a kid God and I had this big talk. We had it in the driveway. I was playing basketball waiting on my parents and God was doing his thing. I told God that if he wanted to test me he could. Anyway he wanted to. I even gave him some ideas and parameters, leaving off the hard stuff i didn't want to deal with just to be safe. I felt awkward after that talk. Like I volunteered for a job I didn't want. In the moment it all sounded so good. Looking back on it I've come to realize that our parameters are rarely his plans. As a child the things i thought i would never go through or didn't want to face I've had to confront head on, even thought they weren't on my parameters list. God knew I would come out the person he wanted me to be after going through those things. God doesn't just give you the things you ask for, he leads you to what He knows you need. What has God lead you to in your life and what did you learn in the process?

Hello my name is Chad Chalos and I'll be paying for your Child's Education
Times are tough no doubt. And with tough times come tight wallets...except our wallet that is. This year i would like to announce that the Chalos family will be paying for your child's education. You may be saying to yourself "My goodness, aren't those Chalos' generous people". Indeed we are. We have to be. Due to lack of funding this year and strict guidelines around asking parents to provide basic classroom necessities, Wilson county schools are short on money. That means most classroom extras will be paid for by the teachers and their families. In a few weeks our home and cars will be full of things like pencil boxes and glue for your kid. “What about your kids Chad?” I'm glad you asked. We don't have kids. the money we are spending to keep your kids up with the Jones' was going to help us pay to have our own children. Now, we get to live vicariously through you. So when the holidays roll around and you receive those wonderful handmade gifts your kids made at school, or you post that A on the fridge, know that we fit the bill. You may want to invite us over for a meal or help us pay off some dept. Really, since you couldn't make it to the store to provide for your child’s education it’s the least you could do.
